The Role

As a SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) specialist, your primary responsibility will be to design, implement, and test SIEM use cases to detect specific types of security threats. You will work closely with security teams to understand their requirements and translate them into actionable solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and nurture positive working relationships with teams and clients to deliver exceptional results.
  • Work collaboratively with security teams to develop and maintain log parsing rules, ensuring accurate ingestion and processing of data.
  • Design and develop automated workflows to address common security operations tasks and incidents.
  • Develop and implement playbooks that automate the response to security incidents, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Collaborate with SIEM vendors to troubleshoot issues and implement new features, driving continuous improvement.
  • Continuously optimise automated workflows to reduce false positives and enhance detection accuracy.
  • Establish a feedback loop with security teams to gather input on automation performance and make necessary adjustments.
