Cloud Architect Job Description

As a Cloud Architect, you will play a key role in designing and implementing cloud-based solutions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Consult with clients to design cloud applications for optimal scaling and expansion using various cloud platforms, primarily Google (AWS and Azure experience is a plus).
  • Be a trusted technical advisor to customers, solving complex cloud infrastructure challenges and advising on leading cloud practices and architectural approaches.
  • Create architecture blueprints working with hyperscalers and other strategic alliances.
  • Make recommendations on integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure required to implement a complete solution, providing best practice advice to optimize cloud effectiveness.
  • Guide the team in implementing cloud solutions through architecture guidance, best practices, data migration, capacity planning, implementation, troubleshooting, monitoring, and more.
  • Define a roadmap for the Cloud Centre of Excellence (COE) in line with the global technology and engineering vision. Create a strategy and execute to build innovative offerings/services portfolios.
  • Elevate the brand as a thought leader on innovative technologies through best practices recommendations, tutorials, blog articles, accelerators, and technical presentations adapting to different levels of key business and technical stakeholders.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior business leaders and client stakeholders on technology trends, strategy, and best practices.
  • Identify both strategic and incremental opportunities in expanding the Cloud COE globally.
  • Travel to customer sites to deploy solutions and deliver workshops to educate and empower customers.
  • Mentor team members in new cloud technologies associated with evolving architecture.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Master's in Computer Applications.
  • Minimum 12+ years of experience in the IT industry.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in Assessment/Architecting/Designing/Implementation of cloud-based projects.
  • Must have Google Architect certifications.
