Shopify Front End Developer

">Job Description:

As a seasoned front-end developer, you will be responsible for crafting and maintaining the client-side of our e-commerce platform with precision and creativity. We are seeking an expert in DOM manipulation, asynchronous JavaScript, and complex CSS to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and customize Shopify themes using skills in DOM manipulation, asynchronous JavaScript, complex CSS, Liquid, and meta fields.
  • Evaluate the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and optimize them for maximum speed and scalability.
  • Build reusable code and libraries for future use.
  • Collaborate with the development team to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies and apply them to development.

Requirements:

  • Shopify experience is essential.
  • Demonstrate expertise in DOM manipulation.
  • CSS skills are necessary.
  • A strong knowledge of Git is required.
  • Liquid framework is necessary (a must).
  • Asynchronous JavaScript knowledge and experience are vital.
  • GraphQL is also a requirement.
  • React JS is a skill we expect.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with Git and GitHub is necessary.

Key Skills:

  • Strong understanding of Shopify including Liquid syntax, Shopify Objects, customizer, meta fields, and the Shopify admin panel.
  • Experience working with JavaScript and related libraries, such as jQuery and Vue.js.
  • Knowledge of DOM manipulation and advanced CSS selectors.
  • Familiarity with responsive design and media queries.
