Job Summary

The role of Video Conferencing Specialist involves delivering remote conference room and audio-visual support for clients. This position requires managing video conferencing, audio/visual, and webcasting technologies to ensure seamless global meetings, events, and webcasts.

  • Administer services such as scheduling, modifying, and cancelling white glove conferences and webcasts.
  • Manage associated service mailboxes.
  • Create and analyze performance metrics.
  • Resolve tickets related to AV and webcasting technologies.
  • Monitor support queues for current and upcoming AV technologies and webcast incidents.
  • Evaluate complex issues with third-level support or manufacturer/vendor support teams.
  • Participate in meetings regarding AV and webcasting systems.
  • Maintain documentation for training and troubleshooting.
Video Call and Webcast Support

Key responsibilities include:

  • Verifying video endpoints are operational.
  • Managing incident response during active calls and webcasts.
  • Preparing and supporting webcast events, including creating event pages and conducting dry runs.
  • Troubleshooting live webcast events and reporting viewer metrics.
  • Trimming, encoding, and distributing recorded on-demand webcast sessions.
  • Coordinating technology schedules for successful meetings.
  • Creating VOD directories for users.
  • Managing multimedia storage on the network.
  • Troubleshooting issues related to uploaded content.
  • Providing streaming metrics and analytics for hosted videos.
Commissioning Services

This role involves:

  • Configuring Cisco Video Conferencing Codecs and streaming encoders.
  • Testing endpoints and devices.
  • Reviewing configuration files for disaster recovery.
  • Supporting the commissioning and decommissioning of conference rooms and AV devices.
  • Conducting room testing, certification, and troubleshooting.
Application Support

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing Level 1 and Level 2 support for applications including MS Teams and Vbrick.
  • Collaborating with Product Engineers to resolve application issues.
  • Evaluating critical issues with Level 3 engineering.
  • Assisting users with application usage and remote training.
  • Managing tickets within the ticketing system.
  • Administering access requests and maintaining documentation.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience in AV support, video conferencing, and webcast management.
  • Familiarity with Cisco Video Codecs and AV/IT infrastructure.
  • Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience with ticketing systems and documentation management.
Preferred Skills

Desirable skills include:

  • Knowledge of webcast and streaming platforms.
  • Experience with AV commissioning and room setup.
  • Ability to train end-users on AV technologies.
