About the Role

The MEP CAD Technician plays a pivotal role in supporting the design and delivery of Mechanical, Electrical, and Public Health services.

Responsibilities include preparing accurate 2D and 3D CAD drawings and models, working closely with engineers, designers, and project teams to ensure coordinated, detailed, and compliant documentation that supports efficient project delivery.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Preparing detailed 2D drawings and 3D models of mechanical, electrical, and public health systems in AutoCAD and/or Revit (BIM).
  • Working closely with MEP Engineers and Designers to translate design concepts into coordinated drawings.
  • Ensuring drawings comply with project requirements, building regulations, industry standards, and company CAD/BIM protocols.
  • Assisting in the development of coordinated services drawings, clash detection, and model updates.
  • Maintaining drawing registers, file management systems, and revision control.
  • Supporting project teams in producing tender, construction, and as-built drawings.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Key Requirements:
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (essential) and Revit MEP/BIM (preferred).
  • Experience in preparing MEP drawings and understanding of building services design.
  • Familiarity with British Standards, Building Regulations, and industry codes of practice.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to manage workload, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
