Embedded Bootloader Developer

We are seeking an experienced Embedded Bootloader Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in boot frameworks and bootloader architecture, with the ability to design, develop, and support bootloaders across multiple chipsets.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and support bootloader software for multiple Qualcomm chipsets.
  • Drive feature development and perform validations in both pre-silicon and post-silicon environments.
  • Enhance bootloader performance, portability, and sustainability across diverse chipsets.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years of software engineering experience, or Master's degree in a related field with 2+ years of experience, or PhD in a related field.
  • Programming experience in C, C++, Java, Python, or similar languages.
  • Familiarity with parallel processing concepts, build systems, linkage, and binary formats such as ELF.
  • Experience with version control tools like Git, Gerrit, and/or Perforce.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

Skillset:

  • Solid knowledge of boot frameworks and bootloader architecture.
  • Familiarity with parallel processing concepts including threads, signals, priorities, semaphores, mutexes, race conditions, and deadlocks.
  • Experience with Qualcomm MSM, AMSS development, and ARM architecture software development.
  • Strong proficiency in C and C++ programming.
  • Understanding of build systems, linkage, and binary formats such as ELF.
  • Experience with version control tools like Git, Gerrit, and/or Perforce.
