Key Roles and Responsibilities

A seasoned Data Engineer is needed to lead the development of our data warehouse offerings.

As a senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for mentoring junior engineers, working directly with clients, and building a comprehensive roadmap for our data warehouse offerings. You will solve complex data modeling challenges, ensure smooth delivery of features, and apply modern data warehousing practices.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor a team of 4–5 engineers to drive large-scale data initiatives.
  • Drive client communication, requirement gathering, and roadmap planning.
  • Identify risks and provide mitigation strategies.
  • Conduct PR reviews & guide best practices.
  • Build & optimize cutting-edge data platforms with modern cloud-native technologies.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in Data Engineering, with 4+ years leading teams.
  • Strong coding expertise: Python, JVM, and Shell scripting with production-grade experience.
  • 5+ years in cloud-native, data-intensive applications with mandatory AWS expertise.
  • Proven experience in Data Warehouse design & development using modern DW tools.
  • Hands-on with Databricks and dbt (mandatory).
  • Expert in Airflow (workflow orchestration).
  • Strong experience building & maintaining Spark applications.
  • Deep understanding of file formats: Parquet, Delta Lake, OTFs.
  • Proficiency in building CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or ArgoCD).
  • Solid knowledge of unit testing & test automation frameworks.
Preferred Skills
  • Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes for containerization.
  • Hands-on with IaC tools (Terraform, CDK, or CloudFormation).
  • Exposure to observability systems (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana).
