Job Title: Medical Documentation Specialist

The ideal candidate for this role will have experience working with electronic health records (EHR) systems, possessing strong typing skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review physician dictation and transcribe clinical notes into EMR/Billing systems
  • Prepare and assemble medical record documentation/charts for physicians ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Update patient history, physical exam, and other pertinent health information in the patient chart
  • Monitor the duration of basic lab results and screening procedures ensuring timely updates
  • Comply with hospital and medical facility policies including those relating to HIPAA and Joint Commission
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Live Medical Scriber
  • Administrative writing skills and reporting abilities
  • Strong organizational skills and record-keeping capabilities
  • Microsoft Office skills and proficiency in operating medical record software
  • Professionalism, confidentiality, and organization
  • Solid oral and written communication skills
  • Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
  • Medical coding or successful completion of a certification program
  • Bachelor's degree with pre-health career track preferred
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
  • Familiarity with ICD-X codes and CPT Procedures
