Cybersecurity is a dynamic and fast-paced field that requires individuals with a strong foundation in security principles, protocols, and technologies.

This role involves managing daily security monitoring and investigation tasks, as well as leading the response to security incidents. The ideal candidate will have experience with SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, and other security technologies.

  • Responsibilities include reviewing proposed change requests to rules or policies for firewalls, router access control lists, IPS, and proxies.
  • Regular reviews or audits of deployed rulesets are performed to identify drift from baseline.
  • Real-time security monitoring is performed for potential cybersecurity threats.
  • Analysts work together to analyze alerts and coordinate responses.
  • Triage of potential security incidents is performed in accordance with established procedures.

Experience and Educational Requirements:

  • The successful candidate will possess knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, Routing, HTTP, DNS, SMTP).
  • CCNA, SIEM, Security certifications are required.
  • 5+ years hands-on experience with SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, and other security technologies.
  • Unix/Linux/Windows operating systems are used by the candidate.
  • Shell/Bash/Python skills are expected.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required, including presenting technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • 3+ years professional experience working with enterprise network solutions is expected.
