GIS Maps Support Engineer Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Centre of Excellence in Mohali, India. We are looking for a highly skilled GIS Maps Support Engineer to be part of our team.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Providing expert technical support for GIS mapping applications to ensure seamless user experience.
  • Troubleshooting complex issues related to GIS software, data layers, and functionality.
  • Delivering training sessions and workshops on GIS features, best practices, and data management to empower users.
  • Creating and maintaining comprehensive user guides, FAQs, and technical documentation for self-service support.
  • Assisting in data acquisition, processing, and integration while ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
  • Configuring GIS mapping applications and developing custom scripts, tools, and workflows for enhanced functionality.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, Computer Science, or a related field (Master's is a plus).
  • 5+ years of experience providing technical support for GIS mapping applications.
  • Strong understanding of GIS principles, spatial analysis, and mapping concepts.
  • Proficiency with GIS software (ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar) and geospatial data formats (shapefiles, GeoJSON, KML).
  • Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail for troubleshooting complex issues.
