About This Role
- We're seeking a seasoned Database Migration Expert to oversee our database migrations across various cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive migration strategy, ensuring minimal downtime and seamless delivery.
- Plan, design, and execute Oracle database migrations in multi-cloud setups, including Exadata and ExaCC environments.
- Maintain end-to-end database backup and recovery using Rubrik for orchestration and RMAN for backup/restore operations.
- Implement data synchronization strategies for near-zero downtime migration.
- Use Oracle Enterprise Manager for database performance monitoring and tracking.
- Collaborate with cloud architects and infrastructure teams to ensure smooth migration with minimal business disruption.
- Document migration runbooks and knowledge transfer.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 12+ years of Oracle Database experience, with 5+ years in leadership roles overseeing database migration programs.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale Oracle migrations in multi-cloud environments.
- Strong experience with Oracle Exadata administration, migration, and performance tuning, as well as Oracle Data Guard setup and switchover.
- Hands-on experience with cloud-native database solutions in AWS (RDS, EC2, S3) and Azure (Azure SQL, Blob Storage).
- Experience in data purging, retention policies, and compliance for regulated environments.
- Strong troubleshooting, performance tuning, and problem-resolution skills.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management capabilities.
