Key Data Engineer Role

As a skilled data engineer, you will play a pivotal part in shaping large-scale data infrastructure and ensuring seamless information flow across systems.

  • Create efficient data pipeline architectures to facilitate streamlined data processing and analysis.
  • Design and implement event-driven architectures to support real-time data insights generation.
  • Identify areas for process improvements, automate manual tasks, optimize data delivery, and redesign infrastructure for greater scalability.
  • Build the necessary infrastructure for extracting, transforming, and loading data from diverse sources using SQL and big data technologies.
  • Develop data tools for analytics and data science teams to enhance their productivity and efficiency in building innovative products.
  • Collaborate with data scientists to push the boundaries of functionality in data systems.

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in either Scala or Python, with expertise in Spark and experience with performance tuning and optimization.
  • DBT (Data Build Tool) experience is essential for data transformations and modeling.
  • Experience with big data tools, relational SQL, and NoSQL databases, including Elasticsearch and Cassandra/Mongodb.
  • Knowledge of data pipeline and workflow management tools, such as Azkaban, Luigi, Airflow, etc.
  • Working knowledge of message queuing, stream processing, and highly scalable big data stores.
  • Strong analytical skills related to working with structured/unstructured datasets.
  • Experience supporting cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
  • Contributions to open-source projects, GitHub repositories, or product companies are a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience with backend programming languages.
  • Working knowledge of object-oriented/object function scripting languages, such as Java, Scala, etc.
  • Experience with cloud services like AWS/GCP.
