Cloud Infrastructure Specialist

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Infrastructure Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our cloud infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining robust and secure cloud infrastructure on Amazon Web Services (AWS). You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless delivery of cloud-based solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Build Cloud Infrastructure: You will design and build scalable and efficient cloud infrastructure on AWS, including virtual private clouds (VPCs), subnets, security groups, and route tables.
  • Implement Security Best Practices: You will implement industry best practices for cloud security, including encryption, access controls, and monitoring.
  • Optimize Cloud Costs: You will optimize cloud costs by right-sizing instances, using spot instances, and implementing cost-effective storage solutions.
  • Ensure High Availability: You will ensure high availability of cloud-based applications and services by implementing redundancy and failover mechanisms.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Deep Knowledge of AWS Services: You should have a deep understanding of AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, Redshift, ECS, Route 53, Load Balancers, Auto Scaling, and Cost Explorer.
  • Experience with DevOps Tools: You should have experience with DevOps tools, including Terraform, CloudFormation, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Strong Networking Skills: You should have strong networking skills, including knowledge of network protocols, VPNs, and firewalls.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: You should have excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
