Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

The Performance Improvement Analyst will be responsible for analyzing key performance metrics across multiple locations, identifying trends, and providing actionable insights to support decision-making and operational efficiency. This role will focus on monitoring store performance, evaluating operational processes, and identifying opportunities to improve sales, profitability, customer experience, and overall business performance.

Data Analysis:

  • Analyze sales, operational, and financial data across multiple locations to identify trends, opportunities, and areas of concern.
  • Monitor KPIs such as sales performance, labor costs, inventory levels, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.

Reporting & Insights:

  • Create and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports to track operational and financial metrics.
  • Presents findings and insights to management to inform strategy and operational decisions.

Performance Evaluation:

  • Evaluate individual store performance and identify opportunities for performance improvement.
  • Assess labor and operational practices to optimize efficiency while maintaining service quality.

Forecasting & Budgeting:

  • Assist with forecasting sales trends and preparing budgets for multiple store locations.
  • Model different financial scenarios and operational strategies to support long-term planning.

Operational Analysis:

  • Analyze operational workflows, including staffing, inventory, supply chain, and customer service patterns, to identify opportunities for cost reduction and increased efficiency.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Partner with operations, supply chain, HR, and IT teams to integrate data findings into actionable business plans.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations to support strategic goals and operational changes.

Market & Competitive Analysis:

  • Monitor competitive trends and market conditions that impact performance across locations.
  • Evaluate competitive strategies and customer behavior to inform strategic decisions.

Tools & System Management:

  • Utilize data visualization and analytics tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau, Power BI) to synthesize information for strategic insights.
  • Manage data integrity by ensuring data sources are accurate, clean, and up-to-date.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in data analysis, financial analysis, or operational analysis, preferably in the retail, restaurant, or QSR industry.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on trends, forecasting, and performance metrics.
  • Experience with labor and inventory cost analysis, operational benchmarking, and reporting.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills to share insights effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Preferred:

  • Experience working with large, multi-unit operations or QSR chains.
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems, supply chain management systems, and other operational tools.
