Quality Assurance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. This role will play a critical part in ensuring the high-quality release of our OTT platforms.

Your responsibilities will include developing, executing, and maintaining manual and automated test cases for video playback, UI/UX, and streaming performance. You will also test video streaming workflows, including encoding, packaging, and delivery, ensuring compatibility with protocols like HLS and DASH.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute manual and automated test cases for OTT platforms.
  • Test video streaming workflows, including encoding, packaging, and delivery.
  • Validate content delivery across multiple platforms and CDNs.
  • Perform functional, regression, performance, and compatibility testing.
  • Identify, document, and track defects using tools like Jira or Bugzilla.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality releases.
  • Contribute to test automation frameworks using tools like Selenium, Appium, or custom Python scripts.
Requirements

To be successful as a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will need:

  • A minimum of 6 years of experience as a QA Engineer, with at least 1-2 years in the OTT or media streaming industry.
  • A strong understanding of video streaming protocols (HLS, DASH) and OTT platform testing requirements.
  • Experience testing on multiple devices and platforms.
  • Proficiency in test management tools and defect tracking tools.
  • Familiarity with automation tools and scripting languages for test automation.
  • Knowledge of CDNs, DRM systems, and OTT monetization workflows.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in identifying and reproducing defects.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and collaboration tools.
