Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Web Security Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing Cloudflare WAF rules, page shields, and threat intelligence filters to ensure maximum security and minimal false positives.

  • Tune policies to protect against OWASP Top 10 threats and ensure real-time visibility into web traffic anomalies and bot activity.
  • Collaborate with application teams to validate WAF configurations before production rollout and troubleshoot WAF blocks, performance issues, and content caching anomalies.
  • Maintain access control, rate limiting, and geo-restriction rules to ensure secure and controlled access to applications.
  • Generate reports for application owners and participate in threat modeling exercises to identify and mitigate potential security risks.
  • Assist in rule set upgrades, custom signatures, and API security enhancements to stay up-to-date with the latest security best practices.
  • Participate in disaster recovery drills and ensure WAF availability in failover scenarios to minimize downtime and maximize business continuity.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Cloudflare WAF or equivalent (e.g., Akamai, AWS WAF).
  • In-depth understanding of web protocols, application headers, and TLS to effectively configure and manage WAF rules.
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps pipelines and app security standards to ensure seamless integration and operation.
Preferred Certifications
  • Cloudflare Certified WAF Practitioner (if available)
  • CEH or GIAC Web Application Defender (GWEB)
  • OWASP Top 10 – mastery preferred
