The Mahindra Group is seeking a highly skilled Quality Foundry Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our quality assurance department, you will be responsible for ensuring that our foundry operations meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
About the Role:
We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in foundry manufacturing processes, particularly high-pressure molding, automated core making, sand plant, and melting. You should have hands-on experience with casting inspection using surface plates and CMMs. Additionally, you should be familiar with PPAP, SPC, FMEA, APQP, MSA, and other quality management systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate layout inspections for new development and ECN-related castings.
- Prepare PPAP documents to ensure first-time right and everything right.
- Ensure casting trials are conducted as per SOP and collect observations during trials.
- Conduct tooling inspections as per drawings before releasing for trials.
- Document complete process flows of casting development, including core making, handling/assembly, dipping, and setting at molding lines with production departments.

Education Qualification:
- B Tech/BE/DME Mechanical/Automobile / Production Engg. or Btech/ADC from NIFFT
General Experience:
- BE/Btech 4-6 years / DME 7-9 years
- Knowledge of various foundry manufacturing processes (especially High Pressure Moulding, Automated core making, Sand Plant & Melting) & Casting machining.
- Hands-on experience in Audits - Auditing skills, Process and systems audits.
- Problem-solving through standard approach: QC Story, DOE etc.
Critical Experience:
- Hands-on experience on softwares e.g AutoCad, Unigraphics/Solid Works/Creo etc.
- In-depth knowledge of interpretation of 2D Drawings.
- Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plan & Work Instructions (Especially variuos foundry preocesses).
- Knowledge of various casting defects for effective analysis & action planning.
