Chief Information Security Officer

You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining enterprise information security vision, strategy, and program to ensure adequate protection of information assets and technologies.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing comprehensive information security strategies, policies, standards, and procedures to protect against potential threats and vulnerabilities.
• Overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of security architectures, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, encryption solutions, and other security technologies.
• Leading the development and execution of security awareness and training programs for all employees to foster a culture of security awareness throughout the organisation.
• Directing the identification, assessment, and mitigation of security risks across all aspects of our operations, including applications, infrastructure, and third-party vendors.
• Monitoring and analysing security incidents and breaches, and coordinating incident response activities to minimise impact and prevent recurrence.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including IT, legal, compliance, and business units, to integrate security requirements into business processes and systems development life cycles.
• Staying abreast of emerging threats, industry trends, and best practices in cybersecurity, and assessing their potential impact on our security posture.
• Serving as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies, auditors, and other external stakeholders on matters related to information security and compliance.

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

• A Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
• At least 7+ years of experience in information security roles, with a minimum of 2+ years in a leadership capacity.
• A proven track record of developing and implementing comprehensive information security programs in a complex, multi-platform environment.
• A deep understanding of security frameworks, standards, and regulations, such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO/IEC 27001, GDPR, HIPAA, etc.
• Strong knowledge of network security, encryption, identity and access management, security operations, and incident response.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organisation.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or equivalent are highly desirable.
