Chief Information Security Specialist

Our organization is seeking a seasoned expert to lead and execute ISO 27001 implementation and audit projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in information security consulting, with a proven track record of successful ISO 27001 implementations and audits.
The successful candidate will drive the implementation of NIST cybersecurity frameworks, including NIST CSF, 800-53, and 800-171, for clients across various industries. They will also provide strategic guidance on security best practices, governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing internal audits and preparing clients for certification audits in alignment with ISO standards.
- Creating and maintaining Information Security Management System (ISMS) documentation and supporting continual improvement processes.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing end-to-end client engagements.
- Mentoring and leading a team of junior consultants; reviewing deliverables and ensuring timely project delivery.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- 5-8 years of professional experience in information security consulting.
- Proven experience with ISO 27001 implementation & auditing.
- Experience in NIST framework implementation and controls assessment.
- Experience in auditing cloud environments across platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Strong understanding of GRC practices and cybersecurity principles.
- ISO 27001:2013/2022 Lead Auditor Certification is mandatory.
- Prior team management or leadership experience is required.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple client engagements.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Additional certifications such as CISA, CISM, or CISSP.
- Experience working with clients from BFSI, IT/ITES, or Healthcare sectors.
