SAP Basis and BTP Administrator

This role combines core SAP Basis administration responsibilities with support for SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) services. The individual will ensure the stability and performance of SAP systems while supporting key BTP services used by development and integration teams.

About the Role

The SAP Basis and BTP Administrator plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of SAP systems and BTP services. This person should have strong SAP Basis administration experience, exposure to SAP BTP or willingness to learn, and understanding of system connectivity and basic cloud concepts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Performing SAP Basis tasks including system installations, upgrades, patching, transport management, user administration, and system monitoring is essential.
  • Ensuring secure connectivity between on-premise systems and BTP using SAP Cloud Connector is a key responsibility.
  • Supporting BTP configuration for services such as Integration Suite, Advanced Event Mesh, and Business Application Studio is also required.
  • Managing BTP subaccounts, entitlements, roles, and service instances is a vital part of this role.
  • Assisting development and integration teams with platform setup, connectivity, and troubleshooting is another key duty.
  • Maintaining proper access control and compliance with IT and security standards is necessary.
  • Documenting system configurations and procedures is also an important task.
Qualifications
  • A strong background in SAP Basis administration is required.
  • Exposure to SAP BTP or a willingness to learn is also essential.
  • Understanding of system connectivity and basic cloud concepts is necessary for success in this role.
