Postgres SQL Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled Postgres SQL developer to join our team. As a key member of our data systems team, you will design and implement complex data systems using Cloud Native principles and best practices.

  • Design and Implement Complex Data Systems: Utilize Cloud Native principles and best practices to create highly available, secure, performant, and scalable database systems.
  • Plan and Deploy Database Infrastructure: Plan and deploy database infrastructure, including upgrades and migrations as needed.
  • Aurora PostgreSQL Expertise: Leverage expertise in Aurora PostgreSQL database performance, scalability, complex query tuning, monitoring, and incident response.
  • AWS Services Expertise: Contribute to infrastructure changes with a deep understanding of AWS services.
  • Data Replication Management: Manage complex data replication environments serving batch and real-time use cases.
  • On-Call Support: Engage in on-call support for production systems and respond to incoming alerts.

Qualifications:

We require applicants with the following qualifications:

  • Computer Science Degree: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • Postgres Experience: 8+ years of hands-on development and operational experience with Postgres (AWS Aurora Postgres).
  • AWS Experience: Experience with AWS Data Migration Service, extensive performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and tuning experience, and knowledge of DevOps automation programming languages (Java/Python/Shell).
  • Docker and Kubernetes: Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes, Splunk is a plus.
