Production Chemist Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and reliable Production Chemist to join our team. As a key member of our production department, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and execution of chemical batches, following standard operating procedures to ensure accurate and consistent product quality.

  1. Key Responsibilities:
  2. Assist in the preparation and execution of chemical production batches.
  3. Safely manage pyrophoric reagents, Raney nickel, and operate pressure reactors in line with company policies.
  4. Perform filtration of low-melting solids and ensure optimal filtration techniques are applied.
  5. Report any deviations from specifications and work with senior chemists to troubleshoot and rectify issues.
  6. Maintain accurate records of production activities, including batch records, test results, and any deviations from standard procedures.
  7. Generate reports and summaries as required by the production and quality control teams.
  8. Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment.
  9. Identify and report any safety hazards or concerns promptly.
  10. Operate production equipment such as reactors, mixers, and filters.
  11. Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure functionality.
  12. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, quality control, and research and development.
  13. Communicate effectively with team members to ensure a smooth production process.
  14. Actively participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and product quality.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  1. Candidates with an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in chemistry from a reputable university with high academic achievements may apply.
  2. Individuals with up to 5+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical production sector.
  3. Strong willingness to learn, adapt, and work effectively as part of a team.
  4. A desire to gain experience in leading and contributing to production.

Additionally, the employee should possess the physical endurance to stand or move across the production floor for prolonged durations, handling machinery and monitoring production activities.
