Job Title: Embedded Systems Requirements Lead

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled engineer to lead the development and virtualization of sensor and actuator models for use in simulation environments.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop high-fidelity plant models using Simulink or equivalent tools, incorporating vehicle calibration variations and real-world operating conditions.
  • Architect models for seamless integration into VHiL, HiL, SiL, and CoSim environments, ensuring model robustness and scalability.
  • Define and maintain interface standards for model consumption across simulation platforms, facilitating collaboration and data exchange.
  • Lead data collection efforts from physical devices to support model validation and performance characterization, leveraging analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Analyze diagnostic responses and performance metrics to refine model behavior, driving continuous improvement and optimization.
  • Define and execute test cases based on customer feedback and evolving model requirements, prioritizing quality and reliability.
  • Maintain traceability and version control across model updates, ensuring transparency and accountability.
Requirements Definition:
  • Define virtualization requirements for modeling, hardware, controls, and supplier ecosystems, considering regulatory and industry standards.
  • Translate calibration differences into robust model design strategies, ensuring adaptability and flexibility.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, or related field, with a strong foundation in mathematics and physics.
  • 5+ years of experience in model-based development, preferably in the automotive domain, with expertise in Simulink, MATLAB, and other modeling tools.
  • Strong understanding of electrical schematics, control systems, and diagnostics, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with HiL/SiL/CoSim environments and simulation workflows, as well as data acquisition systems and sensor/actuator hardware.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
