Piping Stress Engineer Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Piping Stress Engineer. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and analyzing piping systems to ensure they meet safety standards and are efficient.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze piping systems using Caesar II software to identify potential hazards and optimize design.
  • Design pipe supports for above-ground and underground pipelines.
  • Perform surge analysis using PIPENET software to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Extract surge force from PIPENET and input into stress analysis to ensure accurate results.
  • Prepare detailed reports on surge analysis and submit to stakeholders.
  • Conduct technical reviews of stress analysis and pipe support calculations to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Cordinate with vendors to obtain correct pipe properties and ensure stress analysis conforms to vendor supplied parameters.
  • Develop job execution plans and work instructions based on ITB requirements.
  • Estimate man-hours for projects and allocate tasks to engineers.
  • Monitor project schedule, quality, and budgeted MANHOUR.
Requirements:
  • Educational Background:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proficient in Caesar II and PIPENET software.
  • Strong understanding of ASME B31.3, B31.4, B31.8, and ISO 14692 design codes.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
