Monitoring and Observability Specialist

As a Monitoring and Observability Specialist, you will oversee the administration of IT monitoring systems with a focus on ScienceLogic SL1.

  • Tune alerts to minimize noise in IT monitoring systems.
  • Create dashboards and reports in SL1 for enhanced visibility.
  • Integrate with ServiceNow or similar IT service management tools.
  • Develop expertise in scripting languages like Python, PowerShell, and Bash for automation.
  • Understand hybrid IT monitoring across On-prem, AWS, Azure, and GCP environments.

This role requires knowledge of ITIL processes, including Incident, Change, and Problem Management. Experience with MariaDB troubleshooting and fixes is beneficial.

Responsibilities include creating metrics, analyzing system performance, and implementing best practices for monitoring and observability platforms. You will also identify areas for improvement and develop solutions to enhance system efficiency.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical information effectively are essential for this role. Experience working in a collaborative environment and contributing to team goals is highly valued.
