The role shapes international policy, fosters global partnerships, and enhances India's trade and investment opportunities in alignment with national economic priorities.
Operating in a dynamic global business environment, this position requires proactive engagement with governments, multilateral organisations, global industry associations, and Indian businesses to influence international trade and economic policy.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute strategic plans for market access, investment facilitation, and international business cooperation to deliver tangible outcomes for Indian industry.
- Ensure global engagements align with India's domestic economic and policy objectives to reinforce national priorities.
- Drive revenue streams through collaborations, sponsorships, and projects to ensure financial sustainability of international initiatives.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in international relations, public policy, economics, business administration, or related field. PhD or equivalent international policy exposure preferred.
- A total of 25-30 years of progressive leadership experience in trade, diplomacy, global economic policy, or senior roles in government/industry bodies with extensive international exposure.
Desirable Skills:
- Strong policy and advocacy background.
- Excellent diplomatic, negotiation, influencing, and consensus-building skills.
- Wide international network across governments, industry associations, and multilateral institutions.
- High credibility, gravitas, and ability to influence global economic policy.
