We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Research Associate Bioinformatics Methodologist to join our Informatics and Predictive Sciences group. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in designing experiments and analyzing large-scale -omics data sets to identify novel drug targets and enable patient enrichment strategies.

Job Overview:

In this exciting role, you will collaborate with our In vitro Pharmacology, Immunology, Oncology, CV, and Neuroscience teams to evaluate and develop cutting-edge methods for the analysis of multi-modal, high-dimensional omics datasets. You will also provide expertise in state-of-the-art statistical methods for data analysis and visualization while advising colleagues and performing hands-on work in an array of clinical and patient care settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate, develop, and apply advanced bioinformatics tools and techniques for the analysis of large-scale omics data sets.
  • Design and implement efficient computational pipelines for data processing and analysis.
  • Analyze and interpret complex biological data to identify patterns and trends.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate bioinformatics insights into drug development decisions.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of current literature and technologies in bioinformatics and biostatistics.

Requirements:

  • Masters degree in Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Statistics, Computer or Data Science, Computational Biology, or related technical discipline.
  • At least 3+ years of experience in a pharma/biotech research environment or equivalent experience in university, hospital, or biotechnology environments.
  • Expertise in algorithmic implementation, statistical programming, and data manipulation using languages such as R or Python.
  • Familiarity with contemporary, open-source bioinformatics tools and database structures.
  • Solid grounding in statistical theory and familiarity with recent developments in statistics.
  • Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills, and rigorous and creative thinking.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including an ability to discuss and explain complex ideas with computational scientists, experimentalists, and clinicians.
