Job Description:

As a Backend Engineer, you will play a key role in our dynamic R&D group. We are building and delivering the enablement platform for media experiences in personalization, content interaction, and social interaction.

The team is responsible for integrating with video and audio live/VOD assets, personalized processing, and distribution across the world to end-users in real-time. This involves providing end-to-end social interaction functionalities on multiple platforms including web, smart TVs, iOS, Android, PlayStation, and Xbox.

  • Develop and maintain company's platform.
  • Ensure quality software delivery through automated testing.
  • Explore innovative approaches to improve platform performance and scalability.

Key Responsibilities include:

Plan, design, and develop company's platform.

Maintain and improve existing infrastructure, tools, and workflows.

Ensure quality SW delivery through automated component testing, E2E testing, and performance testing.

Explore innovative approaches to improve platform performance and scalability.

Thrive in a fast-paced development process with ongoing deliveries and high-speed iterations.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or software engineering from a leading university.
  • At least 8 years of experience as a Software/Backend Engineer in Python.
  • Strong understanding of SQL or NoSQL databases, leveraging data modelling solution for scalability and performance.
  • Strong experience with cloud technologies, preferably AWS.
  • Expertise in microservices architecture, including REST APIs and message queues.
  • Strong team player with a collaborative mindset.
  • Fluent in written and verbal English communication.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in CI/CD environments (e.g., GHA, Jenkins).
  • Experience in Infrastructure as Code development (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
