About the Role

We are building a next-gen personal finance app for Gen Z, aiming to transform bank transactions into smart insights and goals users actually act on.

As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in developing REST APIs from OpenAPI specs, writing SQS workers, designing Postgres schemas/migrations, and enforcing input validation, structured logs, and distributed tracing.

Responsibilities
  • Design and implement efficient queries, cursor pagination, and Redis caching for hot reads.
  • Enforce idempotency, retries/backoff, and error design principles.
  • Collaborate with the Platform/Infra engineer to maintain security, performance, and cost-effectiveness.
Requirements

Must-haves:

  • 5+ years of experience building Node/TypeScript backends with Postgres and a queue (SQS/Rabbit/etc.).
  • Proven expertise with secure webhooks (signature/HMAC verification) and third-party APIs.
  • Strong grasp of API performance, cursor pagination, and error design.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with Plaid SDK and LLM API usage (Gemini/OpenAI).
  • Familiarity with Java/Spring or Go (we may introduce JVM/Go for specific future services).
