Job Title: Unified Communications Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Unified Communications Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and troubleshooting complex UC systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • UC Architecture & Design: Develop deep understanding of Unified Communications Products like CUCM, CUC, IM & Presence, and Expressways. Design and troubleshoot clusters, inter-cluster trunks, and high availability configurations.
  • PSTN Trunking & Interoperability: Design and troubleshoot SIP trunks, PRIs with carriers, including codec negotiation, SIP headers, PRIs, and call routing logic.
  • CUBE & Voice Gateway Configurations: Configure advanced IOS gateway setup (MGCP, H.323, SIP), dial peers, DSP resources, and survivability strategies.
  • Analog Devices: Understand Analog Devices such as Analog Gateways, Analog Phones, Fax Devices, DTMF & Dial-tone behavior, FXS/FXO Ports.
  • Call Flow Engineering: Design end-to-end call flow across multiple platforms (CUCM, Unity, UCCX/UCCE, Expressway).
  • Virtualization & Cloud Migration: Deploy IPT solutions on UCS platforms or migrate to cloud-based collaboration (Webex Calling, Cisco HCS).
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Capacity Planning & Scalability: Forecast growth, design scalable dial plans, and manage bandwidth across WAN links.
  • Disaster Recovery & Redundancy: Architect failover strategies, backup systems, and DR testing protocols.
  • Integration Expertise: Connect IPT with third-party systems (CRM, ERP, SIP endpoints, SBCs).
  • Change Control & Governance: Lead change advisory boards, document impact assessments, and enforce configuration standards.
