Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Materials Science Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our quality assurance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of raw materials and sand used in our foundry operations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Incoming Raw Material Inspection:
  • You will inspect and approve/reject incoming CRC scrap based on chemical and physical parameters.
  • Sand Testing and Evaluation:
  • You will perform regular testing of Green Sand, No Bake Sand, and Neno Sand to ensure conformity to process specifications.

Key Requirements:

The successful candidate will have experience in conducting quality checks for raw materials such as pig iron, CRC scrap, ferroalloys, and other additives. They will also be responsible for analyzing and monitoring ductile iron parameters including %C (Carbon), %Si (Silicon), %Mn (Manganese), %P (Phosphorus), %S (Sulfur), %Mg (Magnesium), %Al (Aluminum), and %VM (Volatile Matter).

Technical Skills:

You will conduct and evaluate Brinell/Rockwell hardness tests as part of the quality control process and support metallurgical and microstructure evaluation where required. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering, or related field, with hands-on experience with spectrometers, sand testing equipment, and mechanical testing tools.
