Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Backend Developer to lead our backend development efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Node.js, Express, JavaScript, and TypeScript, with experience in designing and developing scalable and maintainable backend solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop scalable and maintainable backend solutions using Node.js, Express, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
  • Work with both SQL and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and Redis.
  • Build and optimize RESTful APIs and GraphQL services.
  • Architect and work with monolithic and microservices architectures, with experience in de-coupled and domain-driven design.
  • Implement secure authentication and authorization solutions, including OAuth2 and JWT.

Required Skills:

  • 8+ years of experience in backend development with strong experience in Node.js, Express, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
  • Proficient in database design and management, including SQL and NoSQL.
  • Proven experience with monolithic to microservices transition, API design, and secure authentication systems.
  • Strong understanding of clean code principles, SOLID, DRY, and test-driven development.
  • Experience with architectural patterns, including event-driven architecture, de-coupled systems, and service-oriented design.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience leading and growing engineering teams.
  • Experience with performance tuning, observability, and scalability.
  • Exposure to serverless architectures and container orchestration, including Kubernetes and ECS.
