This role is crucial to our organization's success, requiring a highly skilled silicon design engineer with expertise in developing cutting-edge designs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design Synthesis: Perform logical and physical synthesis of blocks in IP, ensuring the design meets requirements for functionality, performance, and area.
  • Design Analysis: Analyze and verify that the design meets specifications, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as necessary.
  • Timing Analysis: Conduct thorough timing analysis, resolving STA issues and providing suggestions for fixing timing violations.
  • Quality Checks: Complete all design quality checks and data quality checks, including CDC/RDC/LINT/No clock flops, to ensure high-quality designs.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with RTL engineers to resolve timing issues and optimize design performance.
  • Tool Evaluation: Drive new tool evaluation and methodology refinement to improve design efficiency and productivity.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Synopsys Tools: Prior experience with Synopsys tools for ASIC synthesis and timing constraints is essential.
  • Timing Analysis and CDC: Strong background in timing analysis and CDC (Clock Domain Crossing) is required.
  • Low Power Optimization: Familiarity with power intent definition, implementation (UPF), and knowledge of various implementation and architectural techniques for low power optimization is desired.
  • Scripting and Verification: Proficiency in Verilog and System Verilog, Perl/TCL/Makefile scripting, and Power Analysis using Power Artist and PTPX is necessary.
  • VLSI Front-End Design Steps: Knowledge of VLSI front-end design steps, including LEC, LP signoff tools, is preferred.
