Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced engineering leader to drive the strategy and execution of a platform organization. This role will oversee core infrastructure, developer experience, data platforms, and frontend frameworks that power large-scale SaaS products across global markets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Define and communicate a 12–18 month vision for the platform organization, aligning technical direction with business priorities.
  • Establish frameworks and shared component libraries to accelerate development in modern stacks (Vue, TypeScript, Node).
  • Build unified approaches for ingestion, governance, observability, and schema validation across multiple data stores (MongoDB, Firestore, Elasticsearch).
  • Lead ownership of Kubernetes clusters, networking, IaC (Terraform, Helm), and cloud security.
  • Champion robust CI/CD pipelines, progressive rollout practices, fault-injection testing, and end-to-end observability standards.

Requirements

- 15+ years of engineering experience, including 5+ years leading platform, infrastructure, or SRE teams in high-scale SaaS environments
- Deep experience with Kubernetes and a major cloud provider (GCP preferred, but AWS/Azure also relevant)
- Strong technical grounding in TypeScript/Node.js, container orchestration, IaC (Terraform/Helm), service meshes, and event-driven systems
- Proven ability to design and deliver multi-region or data-residency compliant architectures (GDPR, US-only clusters, or similar)
- Track record of implementing CI/CD, observability (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry), contract testing, and reliability practices
- Comfort working in regulated industries with SOC 2, HIPAA, or equivalent standards
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills; able to influence from C-suite conversations down to technical design reviews
