Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Senior Platform Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in designing, building, operating, and scaling the CloudOS platform.

You will collaborate closely with internal engineering teams to understand their deployment needs, enhance the platform's functionality, ensure its reliability, and promote its adoption across various departments.

This is a hybrid role which requires few days per week working from an office or remotely.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, deploy, test, maintain, and enhance features and functionality of the CloudOS platform using languages such as Python, Go, or Java and Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform.
  • Oversee and manage the infrastructure supporting CloudOS, ensuring reliability, scalability, security, and cost optimization using technologies like Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Configure, manage, and upgrade Jenkins and Spinnaker, contribute to upstream improvements or develop custom extensions as needed.
  • Develop automation scripts for provisioning, deployment, monitoring, and operational tasks.
  • Collaborate with internal engineering teams to understand their CI/CD needs, provide support, troubleshoot issues, and promote best practices for utilizing CloudOS.
  • Implement, manage, and optimize monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to maintain platform health and performance.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and facilitate knowledge sharing within the team and among platform users.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in CI/CD, cloud-native technologies, DevOps, and platform engineering.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to provide support for the CloudOS platform.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, with a minimum of 5 to 8 years in a Platform Engineering, DevOps, SRE, or related role.
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD principles and hands-on experience with relevant tools (e.g., Spinnaker, Jenkins, GitLab CI, Argo CD, Argo Workflows).
  • Experience working with at least one major public cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Proficiency in scripting and/or programming languages (e.g., Python, Go, Java).
  • Hands-on experience with containerisation (Docker) and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace, Datadog, ELK Stack).
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
