Job Title: Principal Patent Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Principal Patent Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patent drafting and be able to facilitate innovation roadmaps and safeguard intellectual property.

  • The primary responsibility of this role will be to manage US patent drafting initiatives for clients across diverse sectors.
  • This includes independently carrying out US patent drafting assignments, conducting inventor interviews, managing email correspondence, and participating in attorney calls.
  • Collaboration with the team is essential, as the successful candidate will provide guidance, review work, and ensure deliverables meet client expectations.
  • A strong understanding of evolving USPTO/MPEP case laws and regulatory changes is crucial, and the ability to impart knowledge to the team and ensure compliance is necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • US patent drafting across various technology domains.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Able to quickly understand and grasp complex technologies.
  • Familiarity with patent processes and a keen understanding of USPTO/MPEP regulations and case laws.
  • Experience reviewing teams' work to ensure quality and timely project delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Communication, or Computer Science.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in patent drafting.
