Job Description

As a seasoned software engineer, you will be instrumental in shaping the core backend infrastructure that powers our cutting-edge AI customer service agents. With a focus on scalability and reliability, you will design, develop, and deploy high-performance systems on AWS or GCP.

We are looking for a talented individual with 5+ years of experience in backend engineering, specifically in Python (Django a plus), cloud computing (AWS or GCP), and containerization (Kubernetes/Docker). You should have a strong track record of building and scaling infrastructure in production environments.

As a key member of our team, you will collaborate closely with our founders and founding engineer to influence technical architecture and direction. You will take ownership of projects from design to deployment and drive them forward in a fast-paced startup environment.

  • Design and develop high-performance backend infrastructure using Python (Django) and cloud computing platforms (AWS or GCP)
  • Implement scalable and reliable systems using containerization (Kubernetes/Docker)
  • Collaborate with founders and founding engineer to shape technical architecture and direction
  • Drive projects from design to deployment in a fast-paced startup environment
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 5+ years of experience in backend engineering, specifically in Python (Django a plus)
  • Strong cloud skills (AWS or GCP), with familiarity in Kubernetes/Docker
  • Proven track record of building and scaling infrastructure in production environments
  • Prior startup experience or evidence of end-to-end ownership (founder, early team member, or shipped independent projects)
  • CS degree or equivalent professional foundation
  • Bonus: experience in high-velocity, high-ownership teams (startups, top-tier tech, or quant firms)
