Role Overview

We seek a Senior Backend Engineer who can own core backend systems, ship fast, and build scalable infrastructure to power intelligent agent workflows and AI-native applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and Scale Backend Systems: Build and scale high-performance backend systems using Python (FastAPI) ensuring modular, efficient architecture aligned with product goals.
  • Cloud Deployment and Optimization: Deploy, monitor, and optimize cloud-native applications on AWS or Azure for reliability and scalability.
  • LLM Integration and Collaboration: Work closely with AI and product teams to integrate LLM pipelines into backend services.
  • Leadership and Engineering Culture: Independently lead projects, mentor junior engineers, set code quality standards, and contribute to a fast-paced engineering culture.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • Backend Expertise: 5+ years of experience in Python, strong proficiency in FastAPI, and solid CS fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, system design, and design patterns.
  • Scalable Systems: Proven ability to design and scale production-grade systems with deep understanding of architecture and trade-offs.
  • Cloud Proficiency: Hands-on experience with AWS or Azure, including deployment, CI/CD, observability, and cost optimization.
  • AI & Ownership: Strong ownership mindset with experience delivering end-to-end solutions, including AI-native backends using LangChain, LlamaIndex, etc.
  • Experience with Agent Frameworks: Familiarity with agent frameworks like Autogen, Semantic Kernel, CrewAI, or AutoChain, along with exposure to vector databases, embedding pipelines, and retrieval-based systems.
  • Background in FinTech or Internal Tools: Passion for developer experience and infrastructure innovation.
