Product Owner

The Product Owner is the central figure in an Agile Team, responsible for defining Stories and prioritizing the Team Backlog to streamline program priorities while maintaining conceptual and technical integrity.

A key aspect of this role is quality control, with the Product Owner empowered to accept stories as done. This position involves significant relationships and responsibilities outside the local team, including working with Product Management to prepare for Program Increment Planning meetings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the product backlog for a product, prioritizing requirements, define and manage scope and sprints for a project.
  • Provide operational support to practitioners and firm clients, engaging with various ITS organizations to resolve problems.
  • Communicate with internal colleagues to understand client needs and teams.
  • Collaborate with System and Solution Architect/Engineering to assist with decision-making and sequencing of technological infrastructures.
  • Create documentation, including requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, feature descriptions, user guides, process flows, wireframes, and newsletters.
  • Responsible for product quality, project timeliness, and customer satisfaction.
  • Assist with leading, directing, and reviewing activities associated with delivering technology products.
  • Ability to work with solutions, technologies, and development teams.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or equivalent educational experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in SDLC, solutions design, and delivery of enterprise-level solutions.
  • Relevant work experience in a leadership role.
  • SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) certification preferred.
  • Technical experience in Microsoft .NET or SAP application development preferred.
