Senior EHS Specialist

Job Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned Environment, Health and Safety Manager to spearhead our EHS initiatives.

• Investigating incidents, injuries, or occupational diseases to determine root causes and implement corrective measures.
• Conducting regular audits and drills to identify areas for improvement.

EHS Responsibilities:

• Providing comprehensive occupational health, safety, and environmental orientation to new employees.
• Managing the procurement of personal protective equipment and maintaining inventory levels.
• Developing and implementing EHS Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and instructions for horizontal deployment.
• Inspecting facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
• Supervising and evaluating work activities of medical professionals in Occupational Health Centres.
• Advising on safety aspects in plant design, equipment use, and systems of work.
• Enforcing work permits and Lock-Out-Tag-Out (LOTO) procedures.
• Reviewing Environmental Aspects and Impacts across facilities to understand environmental risks.
• Developing Operational Control Procedures, Work Instructions, Environmental Management Programs, Objectives, and Targets based on risk factors.
• Ensuring Hazard Communication as per GHS/NFPA standards.
• Monitoring safety Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and driving improvements.

Requirements:

• Master's/MTech degree in Industrial Safety from a recognized institution or Diploma in Industrial Safety from Regional Labour Institute (RLI).
• 9-12 years of experience, with 4-5 years in FMCG industries.
• Knowledge of EMS & OHSMS essential.
