Job Description

Seeking a highly skilled and experienced laboratory leader to oversee daily operations, manage resources, and ensure the smooth execution of research projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to laboratory staff.
  • Assign tasks, set priorities, and monitor performance to achieve optimal results.
Leadership and Management:
  • Oversee laboratory personnel, including technicians, assistants, and researchers.
  • Coordinate procurement, inventory control, and maintenance activities to support ongoing research and experimentation.
Safety and Compliance:
  • Enforce safety protocols and regulatory requirements to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Conduct regular safety training, risk assessments, and emergency drills to mitigate hazards and prevent accidents.
Quality Assurance:
  • Implement quality control measures and assurance protocols to ensure accuracy, reliability, and reproducibility of experimental results.
  • Perform regular inspections, calibrations, and proficiency testing to maintain high standards of quality and accuracy.
Experimental Design and Methodology:
  • Collaborate with researchers and principal investigators to develop experimental protocols and methodologies.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance on experimental design, data collection, and analysis.
Data Management:
  • Oversee data management processes, including data entry, documentation, analysis, and storage.
  • Ensure data integrity, confidentiality, and compliance with institutional policies.
Instrumentation and Technology:
  • Manage laboratory instrumentation and analytical equipment.
  • Coordinate instrument setup, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs to minimize downtime.
Project Coordination:
  • Coordinate research projects and experiments within the laboratory.
  • Track project timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure timely completion.
Training and Development:
  • Provide training, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to laboratory staff.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and skill development.
