R&D Finance Strategist

Overview:
The R&D finance controller oversees the financial performance of R&D projects. This role involves managing budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:- Strategy and Planning:
- Contribute to the development of R&D strategies and follow up on KPIs related to quality, delivery, and cost.
- Ensure systematic analysis of project progress and completion.
- Financial Management:
- Responsible for the R&D budget and financial performance.
- Create, analyse, and value the budget framework.
- Optimize project cash flow and manage currency risk, tax issues, and project financing requirements.
- Project Execution:
- Prepare the Business Financial Execution Plan consistent with internal, contractual, and regulatory objectives.
- Promote commercial awareness within the R&D team and provide commercial input to project execution plans.
- Collaboration:
- Working closely with various stakeholders, including product management, engineering, and operations teams.
- Leadership and Communication:
- Support the R&D management team in budget-related issues and communicate budget directives.
- Compliance and Governance:
- Implement internal control processes to avoid misstatement in financial statements.
- Ensure corporate governance, compliance, assurance, and internal control.
