R&D Finance Controller Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled finance professional to oversee the financial performance of our R&D projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategy and Planning:
  • Develop and execute R&D strategies and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Analyse project progress and completion systematically.
  • Financial Management:
  • Manage R&D budgets and financial performance.
  • Create, analyse, and value budget frameworks.
  • Optimise project cash flow and manage currency risk, tax issues, and project financing requirements.
  • Capitalise on project opportunities.
  • Calculate license fees and hourly rates.
  • Manage project closure and create complete financials for MACH.
  • Project Execution:
  • Prepare business financial execution plans aligned with internal, contractual, and regulatory objectives.
  • Promote commercial awareness within the R&D team and provide commercial input to project execution plans.
  • Monitor claims and back-charges, coordinate regular project reviews, and identify risks with mitigation actions.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with various stakeholders, including product management, engineering, and operations teams.
  • Leadership and Communication:
  • Support the R&D management team in financial matters and communicate financial directives.
  • Supervise project accountants, cost engineers, and field administrators as needed.
  • Compliance and Governance:
  • Implement internal control processes to ensure accurate financial statements.
  • Maintain corporate governance, compliance, assurance, and internal control.
