Job Title: Finance Strategist

Role Overview:

The Finance Strategist will lead the company's financial operations, ensuring robustness, regulatory compliance, and smooth audit processes. This leadership role will oversee financial strategy, controls, reporting functions, and ensure alignment with crypto-native environment.

The successful candidate will work closely with product, legal, compliance, and technology teams to develop a future-proof finance function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting strategies.
  • Manage regulatory reporting requirements across jurisdictions.
  • Establish and continuously improve internal controls, accounting policies, and financial processes aligned with crypto asset flows.
  • Lead periodic audits—statutory, internal, regulatory—and act as the primary point of contact for auditors.
  • Collaborate with compliance and legal teams on AML, KYC, tax, and regulatory filings.
  • Design and implement crypto-specific financial reporting models, including on/off-chain reconciliations and token/fiat flow tracking.
  • Oversee treasury operations including liquidity management, crypto wallet oversight, exchange accounts, and banking relationships.
  • Evaluate financial and operational risks, ensuring appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Provide strategic financial insights to the leadership team and board to support decision-making.

Requirements:

  • Over 10 years of progressive finance experience, including at least 3–5 years in fintech or payments companies.
  • A fair understanding of crypto markets, blockchain transactions, digital asset accounting, and custody mechanisms is highly desirable.
  • Comprehensive grasp of regulatory reporting frameworks applicable to Fintech firms.
  • Demonstrated experience managing statutory and regulatory audits, and a history of collaboration with tier 1 audit firms.
  • Profound knowledge of financial controls, risk management, and treasury operations within a dynamic environment.
  • A hands-on leadership style, with proven comfort operating within startups or scale-ups with limited resources.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively engage with external regulators, partners, and internal teams.
  • CA / CPA/ ACCA (in addition CFA certification is preferred)

Nice-to-Have:

  • Experience with Crypto payment or infrastructure space.
  • Familiarity with multi-jurisdictional licensing (e.g., DIFC, MAS, EU MiCA, etc.).
  • Exposure to UAE tax accounting and cross border payments framework.
