Job Summary:

As a Principal Site Reliability Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-availability services within the organization.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in site reliability engineering, with experience handling high-traffic production systems independently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Service Ownership: Take ownership of services, ensuring high availability, regular application release, troubleshooting, and collaborating with functional and technical team members to provide high-quality services.
  • Automation: Involve in automating routine manual production/non-production operations using technologies like Ansible, Chef, etc. Propose, implement, and improve automation to increase productivity and quality.
  • System Performance Improvement: Continuously work on improving system performance, reliability, and overall service quality.
  • Problem Solving: Proactively react to production issues, troubleshoot middleware, infra, and other related problems.
  • Technology Advancement: Stay up-to-date with new technologies, tools, and methodologies to improve the whole process of development, testing, and production operations.
Requirements:
  • Over 8 years of experience in SRE, handling high-traffic production systems independently.
  • Implementing Site Reliability Engineering principles regarding performance, reliability, monitoring, and alerting in Production environments.
  • Experience in managing large-scale services, designing and constructing public clouds (e.g., GCP, Azure), and good knowledge in CI/CD/CT pipelines.
  • Strong knowledge in LINUX-based system operation, extensive skills in Linux commands, and hands-on experience in Unix/Linux/Shell/Python scripting.
  • Experience with automation/configuration management, e.g., Terraform, Puppet, Chef, Ansible, and Kubernetes.
