Network Infrastructure Specialist

The Network Infrastructure Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation and efficiency of an organization's network infrastructure. This individual must have excellent problem-solving skills, analytical skills, and hands-on experience with industry-standard devices and technologies such as Cisco, Aruba, and Juniper.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Configure and maintain various network devices and services including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPNs, and QoS to ensure optimal network performance.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations to prevent network downtime and ensure data integrity.
  • Maximize network efficiency by monitoring performance, identifying and troubleshooting network problems, and collaborating with network architects on optimization projects.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to schedule upgrades and ensure that network systems are secure, stable, and meet business requirements.
  • Develop and implement policies to secure network systems, monitor access, and manage user privileges.
  • Communicate network operational status to management and collaborate with partners to ensure that their networks are configured and maintained to support required levels of availability.
Requirements:
  • Hands-on experience with routing, switching, and security devices, including strong knowledge of core Routing and Switching TCP/IP protocols.
  • Excellent understanding of wireless networking and implementation of Cisco Wireless LAN controllers.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, as well as awareness of ITIL best practices.
  • CCNP Voice or CCNP Wireless certification is a plus but not required.
