Junior Accountant Job Summary

The Junior Accountant will be responsible for performing a range of accounting tasks, including maintaining financial records, preparing financial statements, managing invoices and processing payroll.

This role involves working closely with senior accounting staff to ensure compliance with financial regulations and providing support as needed.

The ideal candidate will have a basic knowledge of accounting principles, financial statement preparation and bookkeeping, as well as experience with accounting software and tools such as Excel and ERP systems.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals and other supporting documents.
  • Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements.
  • Manage invoices and process payroll in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Assist senior accounting staff with audits, financial analysis and other projects as needed.
Requirements
  • Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Professional certifications such as CPA or CMA are desirable.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles, financial statement preparation and bookkeeping.
  • Experience with accounting software and tools such as Tally prime, Excel and ERP systems.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is an advantage.
