Job Overview

As a financial modeling and research expert, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our investment teams with high-quality financial models and research reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain complex financial models using scenario analysis to drive business decisions.
  • Carry out comprehensive valuation methods, including DCF, relative, SOTP, and other relevant techniques.
  • Design and implement accurate assumptions and valuations with clear rationale.
  • Screen large datasets to identify investment opportunities and assist Portfolio Managers/Chief Investment Officers in their investment decisions.
  • Engage in discussions with Portfolio Managers/Chief Investment Officers on investment ideas and stock updates.
  • Prepare earnings reviews, previews, attend conference calls, and management meetings.
  • Develop pitch notes/presentations, industry, and thematic notes.
  • Create and update databases.
  • Collect and analyze news articles.
  • Respond to ad hoc research requests from clients.

Maintain open communication with clients and other stakeholders to ensure seamless collaboration.

  • Able to think critically and drive insights through data across various sectors.
  • Strong client relationship management skills and effective communication.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple workflows under tight deadlines.
  • Numerical abilities and analytical thinking.
  • Build complex, error-free models with well-defined revenue/cost driver assumptions.
  • Conduct earnings sensitivity analysis.
  • Provide own valuation views after conducting relative, DCF-based, or industry-specific valuations.
  • Effective writing skills in a logical and structured manner that requires minimal rework.
  • Ability to write bulletins and one-page summaries.
  • Link macro/industry analysis to the output.
  • Develop compelling presentations.
  • Proficient in collecting news, summarizing, and providing analysis that adds value, as well as preparing charts, tables, and databases.
  • Advantageous to have experience in using technologies like Python, SQL, Power BI, etc.
