Design and Lead Data Solutions on AWS

About this Role:

  • We are seeking an experienced data engineer to lead the development of end-to-end Big Data solutions on AWS.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To design, implement and optimize data lakes, data warehouses and streaming pipelines.
  • Build ETL/ELT pipelines for batch and real-time data processing.
  • Ensure high performance, scalability and security of data platforms.
  • Collaborate with architects, data scientists and business stakeholders to deliver data-driven solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of Big Data engineers.
  • Implement data governance, monitoring and best practices for data management.
  • Evaluate and integrate emerging Big Data and AWS technologies.

Mandatory Skills and Qualifications:

  • AWS Services: S3, Glue, Redshift, EMR, Athena, Kinesis, Lambda, DynamoDB.
  • Big Data Frameworks: Spark, Hadoop, Hive, Kafka.
  • Programming & Scripting: Python, SQL, Java/Scala.
  • Data Engineering: Data lake & warehouse design, ETL/ELT pipelines, data modeling, metadata management.
  • Security & Compliance: IAM, encryption, VPC, GDPR/HIPAA knowledge.

Required Leadership Skills:

  • Strong solution design, architecture and system integration experience.
  • Leadership Skills: Team mentoring and stakeholder communication.
