Job Title: AWS Data Architect

Location: Bengaluru, Chennai

Job Summary:

Are you a visionary data architect with a passion for the transformative power of cloud technology? We are seeking an accomplished AWS Data Architect to design and lead the development of robust, scalable, and secure data solutions on Amazon Web Services (AWS). This role involves working with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translating them into comprehensive AWS data architecture, driving advanced analytics, AI/ML initiatives, and real-time insights.

Key Responsibilities:

- **Architectural Design:** Design end-to-end data architecture on AWS, covering ingestion, processing, storage, and consumption layers.

- **Pipeline Development:** Develop scalable and secure data pipelines utilizing tools such as AWS Glue, Amazon Redshift, AWS Lambda, Kinesis, and EMR.

- **Modernization:** Spearhead the modernization of legacy data platforms to AWS, including creating migration strategies and executing implementation plans.

- **Data Models:** Create data models and design data lakes/warehouses to support business intelligence (BI), machine learning (ML), and analytics use cases.

- **Governance and Security:** Implement data governance, security, access controls, and data quality frameworks.

- **Collaboration:** Work closely with Data Engineers, Analysts, and Data Scientists to address business requirements.

- **Guidance:** Provide architectural guidance and establish best practices for data lifecycle management, data cataloging, and metadata management.

- **Evaluation and Recommendation:** Assess and recommend AWS services and third-party tools based on project needs.

- **Mentoring:** Mentor junior engineers and review technical designs/code to ensure quality.

- **Agile Practices:** Work within Agile/Scrum teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Required Qualifications:

- **Education:** Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field.

- **Experience:** 10-15+ years in data engineering or data architecture roles, with 3+ years specifically focused on AWS.

- **AWS Expertise:** Deep knowledge of AWS services such as Redshift, Glue, S3, Lambda, Kinesis, and EMR.

- **Programming Skills:** Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and optionally Java/Scala.

- **Orchestration Tools:** Experience with orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Step Functions).

- **Core Knowledge:** Solid understanding of data warehousing, ETL/ELT, data lakes, real-time streaming, and batch processing.

- **Governance and Compliance:** Knowledge of data governance, privacy, compliance (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA), and IAM in AWS.

- **BI Tools:** Familiarity with BI tools like QuickSight, Tableau, or Power BI.

- **Certifications:** AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect

– Professional or AWS Certified Data Analytics

– Specialty are a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

- **AI/ML:** Experience with AI/ML model deployment pipelines on AWS.

- **Multi-Cloud:** Exposure to multi-cloud environments and hybrid data strategies.

- **DevOps:** Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).

- **Regulated Environments:** Experience working in regulated environments (e.g., BFSI, Healthcare). Soft Skills:

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. - Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking.

- Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams.
